Recreation Pass Application

The Recreational Access Pass authorizes eligible civilian patrons to access Joint Base Andrews solely for the purpose of golfing at The Courses at Andrews, including the East Course, South Course, Toptracer Driving Range and Griff’s Place Restaurant, during approved operating hours.

This pass does not waive any applicable fees, including green fees, cart fees, or driving range fees. All pass holders must comply with Joint Base Andrews installation policies, Department of the Air Force regulations, and federal laws at all times.

Access is limited exclusively to travel between approved installation entry points and The Courses at Andrews.

ONE PASS FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON

Applicants must present valid government-issued photo identification. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

Pass holders may only enter the installation through designated access points and must proceed directly to and from The Courses at Andrews.

  • Eligibility: Civilian residents of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia
  • Valid government-issued photo ID
  • Proof of residency (VA / MD / DC)
  • Mandatory background vetting through the Joint Base Andrews Visitor Control Center
  • Pass issued for golf access only (East Course, South Course, and Toptracer Driving Range)

IMPORTANT NOTES

Possession of a Recreational Access Pass does not guarantee entry during heightened force protection conditions. Failure to comply with the pass terms may result in immediate revocation.

This should be the date you plan to visit the golf course clubhouse to pick up your recreation pass paperwork. Visits are available Monday through Saturday between 0900–1600. Please allow at least 48 hours from the time you submit this form before your initial visit. This ensures you are properly added to the Base Access List for your selected date.

A full Social Security number is required to sponsor guests on base for both the initial visit and the issuance of a long-term pass. This information is transmitted to and stored on a secure .mil email system and is automatically deleted after it is processed. If you prefer not to submit this information through the form, you may provide it over the phone directly to a manager.

Recreation Pass steps after completing the Form

To complete the process of obtaining your recreation pass for The Courses at Andrews, please follow the steps below:

  1. Base Access (Initial Visit)
    Ensure you are on the base access list for your scheduled visit. Your initial visit should be scheduled no earlier than 48 hours after completing the online application form to allow for processing. When arriving at Joint Base Andrews, present a valid REAL ID at any gate for entry.
  2. Proceed to the Golf Course Clubhouse
    Once on base, drive directly to:

  3. Pick Up DBIDS Sponsorship Paperwork
    Upon arrival, check in with the pro shop staff and inform them you are there to pick up your recreation pass paperwork. Your completed DBIDS sponsorship form will be held for you behind the counter.
  4. Visit the Visitor Control Center (VCC)
    Take the DBIDS form to the Joint Base Andrews Visitor Control Center to process your pass. The VCC will issue your recreation pass after verifying your information.
  5. Processing Time
    Please allow approximately 45–60 minutes at the Visitor Control Center to complete the process.
  6. Pass Validity
    Once issued, your recreation pass will be valid for one year and will allow you continued access to the base for golf course use.
