JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
The Courses at Andrews unveiled its new Toptracer driving range, featuring newly constructed driving range bays and golf ball location-tracking technology, June 26.
The opening of the new driving range bays aims to not only serve a hub for entertainment, but also enhance the quality of life for base personnel and visitors.
“The fact that Airmen and their families, and everybody can use this for an entertainment venue, I think is an awesome addition to the base,” said Steve Dobson, The Courses at Andrews general manager. “You can order from the restaurant, you can have some drinks, you can bring your family. It’s an all-encompassing entertainment venue now.”
The interactive Toptracer technology comes at no additional cost to golfers apart from the cost of golf balls, which can be purchased at the recently upgraded ball dispensers next to the driving range.
The Toptracer Range app helps golfers optimize their driving range sessions by creating a profile to track statistics like ball speed, apex, curve, carry, and more. Toptracer also features games such as long drive, approach challenge, and closest to pin.
